“It would be easier for me to retire now” – Roger Federer on his retirement plan

The Swiss star Roger Federer on his retirement plan from the game, as his health condition, worries him.

The Swiss star, World Number four Roger Federer has one of the most prolific careers on the ATP Tour, despite his peerless legacy in the sport, the maestro of the tennis court aims to do better and better on the tennis courts to go more and more.

“Retirement is getting closer”, Roger Federer

His legacy does not need to be uttered at all, the star is one of the two players in the open era to win more than 100 titles in career, as a 38-years old, he still aims to win more. There is no clear sign of his retirement from the seeing of his illustrious style and play at this age on high bar. But recently, the former World No. 1 thought about the date of his retirement from Tennis.

“In principle, I was only concerned with my health, but now I miss the feeling of playing in a full stadium,” Federer told the German newspaper Zeit pointing out the date of his departure. Retirement is getting closer and I will miss tennis so much. It would be easier for me to retire now, but I wanna give myself a chance to keep enjoying my time on the court”, Roger Federer on his retirement plan.

It will be the most heart-breaking moment in the tennis fraternity when the Swiss maestro decides to hang his racquet. Tennis might lose most of its audience as all the ‘Fedfans’ might lose the motivation to follow the sport and because of the retirement of their idol from the beautiful game.


The game of tennis will be financially suffered from the departure of the Roger Federer in the shape of tickets of the tournaments around-the-world, as fans will lose their passion in the game.

Tennis Star under the recovery phase

The tennis star is now out of the court because of injury problems. As the tennis star will not be participating in any of the scheduled tournament of the tennis in 2020. Presently, the Swiss maestro is recovering from his surgeries. Very soon he will start his fitness training with his long-time fitness coach Pierre Paganini to prepare for the next year.

Pierre Paganini asked me once after surgery, but you know, we‘re then going to do fitness units of between 16 to 18 to 20 to 24 weeks, do you really wanna do that!? and I thought to myself, oh yes, this is really,” Roger told SRF Sport during a talk.

The ambassador of the beautiful game will be in action by 2021 and be playing in packed-stadiums with no spare seat to sit and enjoy the elegant play of star. However, if the pandemic in the world ameliorates, Roger Federer can once again be in the court.  We hope to see the star back in action!
