Real Madrid man joined London side Spurs on a year-long spell from Real Madrid, manager Zidane gave his honest thoughts on Bale transfer to Spurs.

Zinedine Zidane has given his honest thoughts on Gareth Bale joining his old club where he played before joining Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, on a season-long loan. It is reported that the French manager hasn’t ever had the best relationship with Bale and it shows with his reaction to the transfer.

Gareth Bale has finally found his way out from Real Madrid for at least a year after a devastating year at Madrid.

Bale transfer to Spurs on a year-long loan spell

With Bale re-joining Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan, the four-time Champions League winner will finally be able to play his second-favourite sport once again, after golf, sarcastically.

Bale’s time with current Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane hasn’t been the best as it should have been. Despite Bale being one of the most important instruments in the three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles, Zidane won as a manager, making history for himself as a manager and for Real Madrid as well.

Real Madrid manager talks ahead of Real’s first game in La Liga away to Real Sociedad on Sunday, where they began their title defence with a draw 0-0, he said regarding Bale’s departure:

“It’s not like that but I don’t really care.”

“It’s more complicated. With Bale, it’s always about one side against the other. But I’ve never had a problem with Gareth.”

“There will always be things that happen. Now he’s making a change, all we can do is wish him the best… These things happen in football, but I’ve always said he was a spectacular player.”

“He was a spectacular player,” says Zidane.

The French manager Zidane also revealed his honest views on Gareth Bale transfer to Spurs that he did not say anything to Bale before he left to return to the Premier League.

Real Madrid current manager spoke some words of praise for Bale on his contribution to one of the best era of Real Madrid conquering Europe and the world.

“But I know what he has done for this club. He always proved his quality and what he has achieved with the club cannot be argued with.”
