NFL is preparing for games with fewer fans in the stadiums for the season 2020. Does NFL return? Yes, as COVID-19 pandemic causes massive chaos around the globe; with that tension risen, the NFL is preparing for games with fans in the stadiums.
The COVID-19 has created four-sided chaos all across the world, with all sporting events have suspended forcibly, or rescheduled for next terms. Everyone is feeling the effects of the outbreak, but NFL, at present, has had few issues so far. It is what because of the season was not started when the virus spread.
Because of that schedule of the season, they have not cancelled or postponed any game of the season so far. While on another side, the NFL draft of the season was ‘very different’ because it staged a virtual environment to practise social distancing and avoid the spread of the virus.
It was a success, indeed.
The virtually conducted draft was a success as teams did not get to hold workouts, and that might have made things more complicated. Now, OTAs are held almost as well, which has been a challenge, but the trade is going very well.
While the outbreak causes exponentially growing, which does affect the season of the NFL. Now, as the season creeping up, NFL need to start addressing the issues as other effected leagues, EG: NBA and MLB, have had to confront with over the past few months of the outbreak.
It seems clear sounds that the NFL season for 2020 will kick-off on time, but the million-dollar question is that: ‘either it will be with fans or with-closed-doors?’

Possible NFL returns with fans
According to a news reported by NBC, NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations, Troy Vincent, said the league is preparing to start the league as the fans will be there in stadiums.
He said on The Brian Mitchell Show: “We are planning to have full stadiums until the medical community tells us otherwise … Now, remember when we’re talking — we’re talking about September, August, September. So there’s a lot that can happen here. So we’re planning for full stadiums,” He said.
Troy Vincent said that the NFL is preparing for half stadiums to be filled by the fans in order to practice social distancing. “We also know that we have to plan for half stadiums. Three-quarters. So we’re planning for all of these different scenarios. But first and foremost, we’re making every effort, working with the medical community, if we can have those stadiums with all people until they tell us otherwise when that time comes, that’s our plan. That’s our plan of action,” He continued.
Making plans for half and stadium for games with fans makes sense so that the spread could be reduced, and to practice social distancing as well.
NFL is assessing every corner of the possible free-risk turn, should fans be allowed in the stadiums.
Possible scenario of NFL Return
As the continued growth of the infected patients is exponentially growing in the US, things can change drastically and could turn, by that scenario, NFL will have to go without fans in the stadiums for the season. At present, there is still a lot of time before the regular start of the season.
We hope for the best!
